It's not just about placing objects side by side, it's about telling a story. To achieve this, we layered vases, sculptural objects, greenery, and books of varying heights, shapes, and textures. This juxtaposition not only adds interest to a space, but also creates a balanced and harmonious composition appealing to the eye. ✨

Elevating interiors is all about the intricate details that leave a lasting impression. ✨

For this primary bath design, our client wanted to incorporate a few pieces from their extensive art collection in the space. To form an accent feature, we created a custom gallery wall above the bold, blue subway tile wainscoting that adds the perfect personal touch. Mix in an antique, reupholstered bench and vintage runner, and you have the perfect blend of traditional and modern pieces!

This office design revolves around maximizing natural light and incorporating a sleek, contemporary style mixed with a few pops of color. The existing space has a beautiful, coffered ceiling, so we wanted to highlight this custom detail by adding a bold, geometric wallpaper that will draw the eye upward. Our client is a music lover, so we included their grand piano in the space along with a quaint reading nook to curl up with the perfect book on rainy days. A pebble accent wall and a striking light fixture add the finishing touch to the space. ✨

When working with transitional spaces in our client's homes, it's important to pay attention to the small details that can make a big impact. ✨

In our client's hallway, we wanted to create an illusion by painting the ceiling "Sky High" by @sherwinwilliams to draw the eye upward and make the space feel larger. A sophisticated brass light fixture and acrylic @schlagelocks door hardware add visual interest and form a stylish, inviting atmosphere that set perfect entryway for bedrooms and bathrooms.😍

Help us welcome not one, but TWO of our amazing fall interns!🎉

First, we have Ginny Vincent, a junior at High Point University. Ginny is working towards her BA in Interior Design and is also in the Honor's College on campus at HPU. When not working or studying, Ginny enjoys spending time with her family and playing disc golf with her husband.

Next, we have Isai De La Barrera, a senior at UNCG. Isai is majoring in Interior Architecture with a minor in Business. He is involved on campus with his fraternity, ALPFA, the Spanish American Latino Student Association, IIDA, OLCE Leadership Challenge, University Marshal, and Mentor Collective. In his free time, Isai enjoys being outdoors, going to the gym, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his friends and family.

We are so thankful to have Ginny and Isai as a part of the KIS team, and appreciate their hard work and dedication!
